Restoration workshop

Our in-house cabinetmaker´s and restoration workshop is directly affiliated to our store. The craftsman´s establishment exists since 1890 and is administrated as a family enterprise. We can provide a competent furniture reconditioning and woodworking; we are a registered craft business in the chamber of handicrafts and can show as a reference and qualification the master craftman´s certificate. With the acquirement of the title of master craftsman it is possible for our enterprise to train apprentices and to pass the restoration workshop down now to the fifth generation.

We are always anxious to preserve the originality and nativeness of the furniture and not to adulterate this. To this context belongs our principle that we conserve the old patina.

The furniture exclusively will be hand-polished with shellac. Altogether we use traditional techniques, methods and materials for the restoration of antiques. Thereby we could access to a manifold and extensive fund of veneers and timbers.
